How Rapidfile works

  1. Drop your files

Add files, photos, videos or entire folders. Several items are bundled into one ZIP right in your browser.

  2. Get a code and link

When the upload finishes you get a 6-digit code, a share link and a QR code. Pick expiry, password and download limits if you like.

  3. They download

Your recipient types the code at rapidfile.cc/receive, opens the link or scans the QR code. No account needed.

Everything you need, nothing you don't

6-digit receive codes

Easier than long links. Read a code out loud, text it or type it on a TV browser.

Folders and many files

Drag in a folder and its structure is kept. Many files become one tidy ZIP automatically.

No signup for 500 MB

Send right away. Create a free account only when you need 2 GB per transfer.

Password and limits

Protect a transfer with a password, cap the number of downloads and choose when it expires.

Auto-delete

Files are permanently deleted when they expire. You can delete a transfer yourself at any time.

Works everywhere

iPhone, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux and ChromeOS. Plus a free Android app with QR scanning.

Questions

Is Rapidfile really free?

Yes. Sending and receiving are free and supported by ads. There is no paid plan you need to unlock basic features.

How big can my files be?

Up to 500 MB per transfer without an account and up to 2 GB per transfer with a free account.

How does the 6-digit code work?

Every transfer gets a unique 6-digit code. The recipient enters it at rapidfile.cc/receive or in the app and the download starts. Codes stop working when the transfer expires.

How long are files kept?

You choose: 1 hour, 1 day or 3 days without an account, and up to 7 days when signed in. Files are permanently deleted when they expire.

Can I send a folder?

Yes. Drag a folder in or use Add folder. The folder and its structure are packed into a ZIP in your browser before uploading.

Is it private and secure?

Transfers use HTTPS and are encrypted at rest. Links are unguessable, and you can add a password and a download limit. Transfers are not end-to-end encrypted.

Does the recipient need an account?

No. Recipients never need an account or an app. A browser is enough.
